Last week I am driving to the airport when I receive a message from a coworker: “We’re you fired too?”, I had to stop the car on the side of the road to figure out what was going on. Turns out the entire team was fired from the NOC, excluding me (the summer temp) and another guy.
Without warning or any sort of planning the powers higher above just decided to fire an entire team comprising of people with years of experience from a 24/7 monitoring team. Okay, that’s smart, how are we going to monitor 24/7 with two people? Nobody seemed to know, not even our manager who was not informed of it either.
Que everything going into crisis mode and me having to show up early in the morning to start some critial jobs manually; and the weekend ruined.
